Nature and Scope of Our Advice

We provide regulated financial advice to individuals, families and businesses. Before giving advice, we will clearly outline the nature and scope of the engagement, as required under New Zealand’s financial advice regime.

Personal & Business Risk Insurance

We provide personalised advice on:

  • Life insurance

  • Income protection

  • Disability/TPD

  • Trauma/critical illness

  • Health insurance

  • Business and revenue protection

Providers we can recommend from:
AIA, Partners Life, Chubb, Asteron Life, Fidelity, NIB, Southern Cross Healthcare, Unimed.

Fees & Commissions:

  • No upfront fees

  • Initial commission: 0%–240% of first‑year premium

  • Ongoing commission: 0%–30% of annual premium

Exact commission will be disclosed with your personalised recommendation, in line with Regulations 229D–229E

Home Lending Referrals

While we do not provide mortgage lending advice, we can refer you to:

  • Kit Jackson — Capital Advice

  • Aroha McKenzie — McKenzie Mortgages

Referral commissions:

  • Capital Advice: 30% referral commission

  • McKenzie Mortgages: No commission received

General Insurance(Home, Contents, Car & Business)

We work with:

  • AON (StyleCover Scheme)

  • Blanket Insurance

Commissions:

  • AON: 0.15% + GST of each premium

  • Blanket: We receive 20% of their commission

KiwiSaver, Managed Funds & UK Pensions

We provide personalised advice on fund selection, risk appetite, timeframe, and provider choice.

Providers we work with:
Generate, Booster, Pathfinder, Evidential KiwiSaver Scheme, Milford, Kernel Wealth, iSelect (UK pensions).

Fees & Commissions:

  • Upfront fee: $0–$300

  • Ongoing commission: 0%–1% of funds under management

Disclosure of product range is required under Regulation 229C

Financial Planning Services

Our financial planning services cover retirement modelling, wealth strategy, budgeting, and goal planning. All fees are agreed prior to commencement.

Fees: $1,500 – $7,500 + GST

Property Investment Advice

We may receive revenue from property developers we work with, or fees may be paid directly by you. All fees and commissions will be disclosed in your Scope of Service and Engagement

We must follow the duties set out in the Financial Markets Conduct Act and the Code of Professional Conduct, which include:

  • Putting your interests first

  • Exercising care, diligence and skill

  • Ensuring advice is suitable

  • Treating clients fairly and with integrity

  • Protecting your information

  • Maintaining competence, knowledge and skill

These duties are mandated by the Code


Conflicts of Interest

We have systems to identify and manage conflicts of interest, gifts and incentives. We will always disclose any commission, referral payment or benefit that could influence advice.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days, outline our process, and keep you informed as we work to resolve it — as required by Regulation 229F.
